Spring Fever

The infamous Oklahoma weather has held me captive within my apartment walls for the last two months. If there is one thing I’m looking forward to this year, it would be without a doubt spring break, baby!

All though a trip to Mexico sounds more than fabulous, my new budget does not include lying on the beach in Cancun. So, I have collected ideas for fun activities in or around the Oklahoma City Metro area, because there is no need to stay inside and sulk for that dream vacation. You could so easily be having some fun close to home (and for a better price!).

A day with friends could include putt-putting and then a picnic in the park. Or another idea: a movie night at a friend’s house with midnight bowling to sum up the evening.

Or if you have a need for speed, Pole Position (located in Oklahoma City) offers extra fast, adult sized go-karts to get your adrenaline pumping.

Another idea: gather up all your friends and plan to see that big state down south. Six Flags in Arlington, Texas will be open for spring break. What is that old saying, ‘the more the merrier’? The more people going, the less gas will cost for you!

Still looking for some other ideas? Try wimgo.com. This website is full of things to do in the OKC Metro.

Do you have any great ideas for a fun day out? As always, please share your ideas with the rest of us, we would love to hear ‘em!
